"There is a universal truth we all have to face, whether we want to or not, everything eventually ends. As much as I’ve looked forward to this day, I’ve always disliked endings. Last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall. You close the book. You say goodbye. Today is one of those days for us. Today we say goodbye to everything that was familiar, everything that was comfortable. We’re moving on. But just because we’re leaving, and that hurts, there’s some people who are so much a part of us, they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground. Our North Star. And the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us, always."

"Perhaps love is a minor madness. And as with madness, it’s unendurable alone. The one person who can relieve us is of course the sole person we cannot go to: the one we love. So instead we seek out allies, even among strangers and wives, fellow patients who, if they can’t touch the edge of our particular sorrow, have felt something that cuts nearly as deep."

"Most importantly, if you can at all avoid it, don’t be normal. Strive, burn and do everything you can to avoid being the industry standard. Even the highest industry standard. Be greater than anything anyone else has ever dreamed of you. Don’t settle for pats on the back, salary increases, a nod-and-a-smile. Instead, rage against the tepidness of the mundane with every fiber of whatever makes you, you. Change this place."

Just another blog entry.

For Allison. I hope you can read between the lines. Do you remember when we talked about some files? This file was not yet touched. I do recall that we already had a brief discussion about this but it was not yet considered a file then. Good luck on deciphering this post, transparent na nga yata eh.

The world I live in is not perfect, although most people may see it as the opposite. It is way too different of what’s obvious right now and what I’ve already told you then. And I am telling you that it is still broken.

The file remained hidden and locked for some years. It was concealed within the deepest and darkest box of secrets. And the key to that box is missing until yesterday. I already forgot about the box but to my surprise, I found the key once again. I opened the box and the files were there and one file shone the brightest. I tried to touch it, knowing that it would not harm me anymore. I thought I’d get used to it but NO. It still has an impact. It will always have an impact on me. It wanted to burn me alive but I managed to let go of it before it could damage me. Even if I let go of it, it doesn’t mean that it is over. It will haunt me from yesterday and for the next years to come; or for the rest of my life. This file is one of the major reasons why the box is full of secrets. It represents the first piece in the upended dominoes, wherein once you moved/touched it, it will cause the other pieces to fall.

Would it remain hidden from you for the next few days? Weeks? Months? Years? We don’t know. It will be revealed sooner or later. Or maybe it will remain in the ground like roots that are meant to be unseen. HAHA. Teaser much? I’ll be able to share it when I already have the courage to tell. Well, time flies. Tomorrow seems to be relative nowadays.

Title/Hint: (4 words)

Seen in last paragraph: Brand of bags.

Of.

Seen in third paragraph: Find Dexter’s sister (Dexter’s lab) and add -d to the second word.

Seen in second paragraph but start counting in the first paragraph: 7-11 (S-W).

Tell me if it’s too obvious. I might delete this post if you already know the answer.

"We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox."

"I believe that suffering is part of the narrative, and that nothing really good gets built when everything’s easy. I believe that loss and emptiness and confusion often give way to new fullness and wisdom."

"Life will never be perfect, no matter how hard you try. Even if you pour your heart and soul into it, you will never have that perfection you seek. There will always be broken hearts, there will always be days where nothing goes right. But I have accepted and learned that even the most imperfect things will always be made better with love, laughter, and joy."

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
